The Apex Learning Center was founded by Dr. Lynne M. Gregorio. Lynne received her B.S. degree from Eastern Connecticut in Mathematics with a minor in Secondary Math Education. She received her M.S. from Central Connecticut State University in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics and Education. She received her Ph.D. in Math Education with a minor in Statistics from North Carolina State University. She also holds a license to teach high school Mathematics. She has been teaching for over 20 years and has experience with high school teaching, college teaching (undergraduate and graduate), GED preparation, and special education. She and her husband live in Apex with their four children.
Co-owner, Joe Gregorio, works for Google. He has a masters degree in Mathematics from Dartmouth College. He offers insight into the computer classes offered by the center.
The goal of The Apex Learning Center is to offer students classes and camps in areas that are hard to find in the triangle. We also try to offer these classes at affordable rates so that all students may enjoy these opportunities.

Anne Elisabeth Stengl -Anne Elisabeth has studied illustration at Grace College in
Winona Lake, IN. Using the techniques and skills she picked up there,
she has expanded her repertoire to include people as well as pets. She
utilizes a variety of media to create the proper mood for each
individual work, and especially enjoys incorporating a “storybook”

Cherie L. Spehar.Cherie holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has over 17 years of experience in the social work profession. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, her professional background has focused on promoting the emotional and psychological wellness of children and families. Her work in this area led her to such roles as Child and Family Therapist, Executive Director for the Exchange Child Abuse Prevention Center and, most recently, six years as Sr. Trainer and Training Coordinator at the NC State University – Family Centered Meetings Project. There, she mastered skills as a trainer and adult educator and provided training workshops for thousands of individuals across the state. She facilitates trainings on special topics nationally and now works independently as a Master Facilitator and Family Consultant, specializing in workshops about navigating life transitions, emotional health, child and family issues and development, strengths-based education and social skills building, and the art of facilitation.
