Art Camp #1

In this camp, students will be introduced to the basic building blocks of drawing and painting. They will learn to build complex objects out of circles, ovals, ellipses and will be introduced to the famous "Wally the Worm." Using their new drawing skills, students will draw various animals and landscapes. On day two, they will be taught the basic proportions of the human face. Day three, they will begin to explore basic color theory and learn how to use paint. During the last 2 days of camp, students will choose a photo to draw as a masterpiece that they can frame.  All students may participate in our regular ART GALLERY SHOWS at The Apex Learning Center.  This camp has different content from ART Camp #1 and #3 so that students who have attended Camp #1 or #3 will get new material in ART Camp #2.

They will over the first few days draw a large and colorful picture of a circus scene, using the drawing and color techniques they have learned. During the last two days of camp, students will choose a photo to draw as a masterpiece that they can frame. There will be some review of concepts learned in previous camps, but it is recommended that students attend either Art Camp, #1 or #2 or the Learning to Draw Class offered at the center in order to handle the more challenging aspects of this camp.  All students may participate in our regular ART GALLERY SHOWS at The Apex Learning Center.

Portraits, Landscape, Still Life....).  Each student will finish a masterpiece that will be worth framing!  Students must supply their own sketch pads (small and large), drawing pencils, colored pencils, and eraser.

"I never felt that I could draw at all.  Anne Elisabeth was an incredible teacher who helped me draw and paint things I never thought I was capable of.  Below is a sketch I drew of my puppy - keep in mind that this was after 5 days of lessons and I had no prior experience or talent!"

You will be surprised at how well you can draw after just a few classes with Anne Elisabeth - she truly is remarkable!
