DRAWING II CLASS - for children who have completed Art Track Out Camp
Check out our new Drawing Level 2 class. The theme is Fantasy and Fairytales. Students will learn to draw castles, unicorns, dragons, and more. Students should bring 2 sketch pads (regular size & large), students will need to bring their own art pencils (6b-b), kneaded eraser, ruler, primsacolor colored pencils, and hand-held sharpener.
DRAWING CLASS
In this beginning drawing class, students of all ages and ability levels will be challenged to improve their skills and encouraged to find that the phrase, "I can't draw!" is never true. All students begin at the very beginning, learning how to draw proper circles and how to break complicated images down into more basic shapes. They learn how to draw an accurate human face and principles of perspective and shading. Much time is spent in drawing still life projects and sometimes live creatures, including classmates! Each student will come away from class with at least one "Masterpiece" work of which he or she can be proud.
This curriculum is suitable for most students between the ages of 7 and 12, for the lessons are easy enough for small children, but can be made more challenging for the older student as well. Material fee will be charged.
HIP HOP DANCE CLASS (ages 5-9)
This is a fun and active camp for ages 5-9. Children will stretch and the teacher will encourage healthy eating to make them strong. After stretching children will learn some hip hop dance moves and the course will end with a parent show. Currently on hold.
PAINTING CLASS
Students learn the basics of color theory, primary and secondary colors, complimentary colors, etc. They apply these concepts in simple projects suitable for ages 7-12. These projects are easy enough for the student who has never held a paintbrush before, but also fun and challenging for a student with a little more experience. Students learn several techniques of acrylic painting and various concepts of lights and shadows in compositions. They will spend a class period copying the work of a master artist, and will also spend time creating their own "masterpieces." No former drawing experience is required, though a student might enjoy this class even more if he or she has taken the Beginning Drawing class. Material fee will be charged.
ADULT & TEEN DRAWING CLASS - REGISTERING NOW!!!
Adult art class will be held on Monday evenings from 7-8:30 pm. Students will be instructed on how to draw using concepts such as shading, perspective, using a grid, proportions, and more. Each student will finish a masterpiece that will be worth framing! Students must supply their own sketch pads (small and large), drawing pencils, colored pencils, and eraser. New students should sign up for the 2-hour BASIC session, prior to signing up for a themed class.
"I never felt that I could draw at all. Anne Elisabeth was an incredible teacher who helped me draw and paint things I never thought I was capable of. Below is a sketch I drew of my puppy - keep in mind that this was after 5 days of lessons and I had no prior experience or talent!"
You will be surprised at how well you can draw after just a few classes with Anne Elisabeth - she truly is remarkable!
