Chinese Classes

     Chinese Class for ages 4-10

       This class will teach reading Chinese characters, writing characters, and learning to speak.  Younger students will focus mainly on speaking and some simple character recognition - although because learning to read in Chinese is easier than in English, it may be possible for children as young as 4 to start reading in Chinese before they know how to read in English.  Older children will learn how to write characters as well.  Games will be played in class that teach the language so that students have fun while learning.  

Chinese Language Camp

    The Chinese Language Camp is similar to our language classes.  Students will spend 1 week studying and learning about the Chinese language (Mandarin).  They will study tones, pinyin, reading characters, writing characters, and speaking.  At the end of the camp, students will be able to offer greetings, count, know their colors, read a short paragraph, and write characters in Chinese.  Ages 7 - 13
