Academic Camp: This camp is like private tutoring but better! Give your advanced second grader through fifth grader a boost in spelling, reading, vocabulary, and math.
Adult / Teen Drawing People and Portraits – This class will focus specifically on drawing people. Students will learn appropriate proportions of the human face and body and they will practice drawing human faces. For new students, an extra class to learn the basics of drawing should be taken in addition to this class. It will meet the Sunday evening before this session begins. Continuing students can just sign up! Algebra Study Group (Algebra 1 and 2 students) – Algebra Study group is for those students who are nearing the end of the semester and are still not understanding certain topics, just need a review, or extra help to prepare for end of course testing. The study group will have 1-2 instructors who will work with students by giving them problems that test their understanding of material presented in Algebra 1 and 2. Algebra I EOC Review Class – Come to this review class and get prepared for the End of Course Test in Algebra I. The class is 2 hours long and will have students working with actual practice EOC questions. Test taking skills will be addressed as well as content.Algebra II EOC Review Class - Come to this review class and get prepared for the End of Course Test in Algebra II. The class is 2 hours long and will have students working with actual practice EOC questions. Test taking skills will be addressed as well as content. Art Camp – This camp does basic art instruction that teaches the child how to draw, paint, and some basics of color theory. Participants will learn how to utilize circles and ellipses to create drawings, concepts such as negative space, contour drawing, and more. This class allows students to take our more advanced classes in drawing. Materials fee applies. Cartooning – Students will begin by learning the basic building blocks of drawing and quickly move into learning how to draw their own cartoons. Materials fee applies. Chinese Language Camp – Learn how to read, write, and speak Mandarin Chinese. This camp will introduce the Chinese language including tones, pinyin, and characters. Creating Landscapes -This class will instruct students how to create landscapes. Mediums used will include pencil, colored pencil, and watercolors. Students will supply their own materials. Drawing Animals (Level 2) – This is a level 2 class for students who have already taken one of our basic drawing classes. This class will instruct students in a more advanced approach to drawing different types of animals. A different animal focus will be done each class period. Students should supply their own sketch pads. Drawing Animals – This camp will introduce the basic building blocks of drawing and then incorporate these concepts into drawing. Each day a new animal drawing will be made. Materials fee applies. Fairytale & Fantasy – Students will begin by learning how to break down objects into circles and ellipses. They will then learn how to create objects such as castles, dragons, unicorns, and more. The class will culminate with a masterpiece drawing. Materials fee applies. Fairytale & Fantasy (Level 2) – Students will learn additional skills to create more advanced drawings. They will draw items from fantasy and fairytale themes such as dragons, castles, unicorns, and more. Materials fee applies.Fairytale & Fantasy – Y – This class is specifically designed for our young artists. Children ages 5-7 will learn how to draw castles, dragons, unicorns, and more. Materials fee applies. Introduction to Drawing for Teens & Adults – This class will instruct the basic building blocks of drawing for our new art students who wish to sign up for a themed teen/adult class. This class is required prior to taking a themed class. Students will supply their own materials. Journey into Motherhood - In this nurturing and practical workshop, we will explore the amazing journey into motherhood. The emphasis of this workshop is on the emotional and psychological wellness of the expecting and new parent. Multiple Intelligences - How are YOU smart? - This workshop focuses on showing you your individual strengths as a learner. It will then help you isolate your child's strengths and show you how you can use both your strengths and your child's strengths to help them reach their potential. :

Magic Tree House Camp: Spend a week reading books from the Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osborne while developing your Language Arts skills and learning the Science or Social Studies concepts behind the books. This course provides academic enrichment and addresses the North Carolina Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science standards for grades K-3. Teen Drawing Class – This class is designed specifically for teens interested in drawing. Students will learn the basic building blocks for drawing and then proceed to drawing animals, castles, dragons, and cartoons. Students will supply their own sketch pads.
