Algebra I and II Overview

Algebra I and 2 Overview will help prepare students to take Algebra 1 and 2 in high school.  They are perfect for students who struggle in math and want a head start.  The classes will provide students with overall concepts and practice with topics that tend to be more challenging for students.  We recommend that students take these classes as a preparation for Algebra 1 or 2 and then sign up for Topics classes during the year to help them succeed.   Minimum 3 students, Maximum 8 students.

    Lesson 2:  Quadratic Functions

    Lesson 3:  Conic Sections

    Lesson 4:  Polynomial Functions

    Lesson 5:  Exponential and Logarithmic Functions

 

Which class should my child take?

I am often asked which OVERVIEW Algebra class should my child take.  Please use the following as a guide.

 Take ALGEBRA 1 OVERVIEW if:

1)  Taking Algebra 1 next year

2)  Took Algebra 1 and scored a C or below

3)  Took Algebra 1 and remembers "nothing" of the course and wants a review before Algebra 2


Take ALGEBRA 2 OVERVIEW if:

1)  Taking Algebra 2 next year

2)  Will be a freshman taking Algebra 2 - Algebra 2 is a challenging class for a freshman, this course will help prepare them.  If your child is taking Algebra 2 as a freshman and struggled at all with Algebra 1, please consider tutoring at the start of the semester.

3)  Took Algebra 1 and scored an A or B and wants a head start in Algebra 2 to make it easier and less demanding on their schedule.
